The Gillard Government is currently in delicate negotiations with Greens and independent MPs in order to pass its planned carbon tax. Now one of the people responsible for its success or failure has called for small businesses to be recognised in the discussions and appropriately compensated.

Last week saw the close of submissions to the Victorian Government’s Climate Change Green Paper. There were over 180 submissions received and a lot of stakeholders eager to see the outcomes. Let’s hope that the result is a visionary and practical transition plan to help Victoria prepare for and thrive in a low carbon future.
