Recent projections have indicated that Melbourne may overtake Sydney as Australia’s largest city by 2028. In addition to adding fuel to the rivalry between the cities, this has also raised several discussions surrounding what is needed for Victoria to sustain such rapid growth.
Two reports from The Age today indicate several projects are on the cards to meet Victoria’s growing infrastructure needs, deal with increasing traffic congestion and give our old industrial/commercial areas a facelift. VECCI’s Chris James gives his perspective on these proposed developments.
