Bridging the business digital divide

While digital connectedness may seem axiomatic to people living in the major urban centres, there remains a significant ‘digital divide’ between city and country across the continent; with the latest Sensis e-Business Report finding only 54 per cent of small businesses within regional Australia maintained a functioning website, despite 93 per cent having an internet connection.

Extension of Melbourne Exhibition Centre vital

VECCI is calling on the State Government to commit to the extension of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre to improve the city’s competitiveness in the exhibition market.

The extension is needed to attract expos, exhibitions and other business events requiring more space, in addition to enabling multiple events to be run concurrently.
