Ted Baillieu’s law and order initiative ‘Stopping Crime in its Tracks’ is a step in the right direction.
It is essential that we invest in law and order, and putting over 900 security personnel onto our public transport system is a good start. Stations are a magnet for crime, with many assaults taking place in their vicinity.
Victoria’s reputation as a safe state is important for its future liveability and attractiveness to visitors, and this announcement is welcome.
